Frequently Asked Questions

General Tours

What should I wear / bring?

It is recommended for all tours that you bring the following items:

  • Comfortable shoes, suitable to the tour you’ve booked

  • Phone / Camera

  • Water bottle (you will be able to refill this along the way, if needed)

  • Hat

If there are any specific items related to the particular tour that you have booked they will be mentioned in the tour notes. In addition, you will also be sent a reminder email the day before your tour which will recap all of the things you should wear and/or bring.

Will you cater for my dietary requirements?

We will cater to dietary requirements as best we can. As some of our meals are catered for it is best to let us know when you book so that we can make the necessary arrangements.

If you have a food request as opposed to an allergy (for example, you don’t like seafood) please also make a note of this during the booking process so that we can do our best to provide alternate options.

Do you take last minute bookings?

It is best to make a booking in advance, if possible. As many of our tours collaborate with other providers they too need to know if we are coming or not with as much notice as possible.

If in doubt, give us a call or shoot us an email and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Do I have to pay at the time of booking?

We really appreciate payment at the time of your booking, plus it secures your place on the tour. As many of our tours collaborate with other vendors, sometimes payments need to be made in advance and this helps us in that process too.

What is the cancellation and refund policy for bookings?

Our standard cancellation policy is as follows. However, for specific tours and multi-night adventures this may vary. In this case you will be made aware of this in the booking process.

  • Any cancellation made 7+ days prior to departure will result in a full refund.

  • Cancellation between 1 week and 48 hours from departure will result in a 15% fee.

  • Cancellation within 48 hours of departure will result in a 25% fee.

  • Cancellation within 24 hours of failure to board will result in no refund.

  • Customers will receive a full refund or credit in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Where is your meeting point for tours?

Most tours meet at a central location in the main town centre along Moreton Terrace in Dongara. This is always clearly defined in the booking process and is reconfirmed the day prior to departure. Pick ups from accommodation providers and local addresses is also possible on request, when able.

What is the minimum/maximum number of people that can go on tours?

2 people is generally the minimum number for tours, unless otherwise stated.

11 people is the maximum number that can be on a tour.

Are children allowed to come on tours? Can you accommodate care seats?

Children are most welcome to come on almost all of our tours. The only tours that do not permit children are those that are defined as 18+ Tours due to alcohol licencing of featured venues or events as part of the tour itinerary.

We currently have 4 anchor points fitted within the van for children’s car sets. We generally operate on a ‘bring your own’ seat basis, however, if you are unable to provide your own seat, reach out to us and we will do our best to provide you one.

All children traveling on board must be seated in a seat and/or fitted car seat in compliance with the Western Australian road rules.

How inclusive are your tours for those with additional mobility needs?

We will do our best to accommodate the needs of all travelers with the resources that we have access to. Through our partnership with ATLAS (Access to Leisure and Sport) we are able to hire additional equipment that will enable more inclusive access to our tours and experiences. It is also possible to modify our tours to cater to different needs.

Reach out to us to discuss any additional requirements you may have and we will do our best.

What happens if I see a tour but it’s not on the day I want to go?

We are very flexible with tour dates and are happy to run tours on days that are not currently scheduled, if possible. If you see something that you like but would love for us to run it on a different day, reach out via phone or email and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Custom Trips

Can I book the whole bus for my own group?

Of course you can. The maximum number of passengers is 11.

Can I plan my own tour?

Absolutely! If you’d like some assistance we are here to help.

How much does a private tour cost?

Tours are calculated based on distance and time and are charged at a whole bus price, rather than a per person amount. For a quote, please don’t hesitate to reach out via phone or email.

Where do custom trips start and finish?

They can start and end wherever you like! That’s the beauty of a custom trip. Whether it’s one central location, a home address or multiple pick up and drop off locations, it’s entirely up to you.

Experiences

What makes an experience different from a tour?

Experiences are generally more about participating in an activity, rather than sightseeing and being provided commentary of facts like when on a tour. An experience is taken more at a leisurely pace and often involves creating something with your own hands or exploring something through the senses.

Are there minimum/maximum guest numbers for experiences?

Some experiences are capped at a particular number due to the limitations of the activity or licensing restrictions of the experience provider. Maximum numbers are 11.

Can I arrange my own group experience?

Of course! Don’t hesitate to reach out if you would like to arrange an experience for your own group.
